The footage takes place on the never-before-seen planet of Koboh. Many are reporting the game fails to load past the title screen before crashing, something I haven’t experienced personally. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is just a few short months away, and today EA unveiled a meaty new chunk of gameplay via the folks at IGN. Many, many gamers are reporting a wide array of performance issues, bugs, frame-drops, or weird things like the game just not loading at all. Below is a list of all explorable planets in Star Wars Jedi Survivor: Koboh Coruscant Jedha Shattered Moon (Moon of Koboh) Tanalorr Nova Garon click to enlarge + 2 Bogano, Zeffo, Kashyyyk, Dathomir, as well as Ilum, could all be explored in the original game, but they're not in the new game. While this is definitely great news, there is a wrinkle worth mentioning: On Steam, the game is getting “Mixed” reviews from users, up from “Mostly Negative” earlier today. It’s not perfect but it’s better than it was before, which means we’re on the right track.
I have also not experienced any further dialogue overlap issues or other wonky sound effect glitches.
I haven’t experienced any crashes and framerates appear to be more stable, even if they’re still somewhat wonky at times, especially after cutscenes and in big fights. I’ll update this post when the day-one patch comes out, so stay tuned. The game will run fine for stretches and then it’s like it just unravels. I have a very powerful gaming PC that runs everything I throw at it, also, so this isn’t a horsepower problem. I’m playing on PC (Steam) but I’ve heard similar performance issues are affecting consoles as well. Just buyer beware: I’d hold off buying until the game is patched up and the kinks are worked out.
